About the Council

The National Beagle Council (Australia) is a federal association of the Beagle Clubs of the individual States of Australia. It was formed in 1989 with its founding Members being the Clubs of Victoria, New South Wales, South Australia, Western Australia and Tasmania. The Beagle Club of Queensland was formed and became a Member in 1995. The Beagle Club of Tasmanian was discontinued in 1999.

The charter of the Council is to promote, maintain, protect and cherish the purebred Beagle in Australia. This site is a focal point for the Councils functions and a means of gathering information and feedback about matters affecting the Beagle in Australia today.
